Reports say man broke into ex-girlfriend’s house to kidnap her
Justin Lee Solano, 35, of Levelland, has been arrested after being charged with breaking into his ex-girlfriend’s house and kidnapping her.
Reports say that at approximately 9:30 p.m. on Monday April 12, the victim, who has not been identified, and her friend were inside their home in the 2700 block of 68th Street when her dog began to barking at someone at the front door. When she opened the door, she saw Solano approaching the house.
The victim said Solano had a history of “violent tendencies” so she immediately ordered her friend to call the police. Soon after, Solano allegedly kicked the front door and punched the victim in the face.
KAMC News report that Solano told the victim that he would hurt her if she did not accompany him. He allegedly dragged the victim to the door and grabbed her keys, leaving her in the victim’s vehicle.
Police located Solano driving in the 2700 block of 68th Street towards the victim’s home at around 10 p.m. He was subsequently arrested for intent to commit a felony, aggravated kidnapping and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. The victim refused EMS treatment.
Solano remains in the Lubbock County Detention Center with obligations totaling $ 60,000.
