Nicole Scherzinger breaks down in tears amid emotional performance by masked singer

The Masked Singer USA has arrived in the UK and ITV viewers were treated to another episode of the wacky guessing game this afternoon.

Mariah Carey’s ex and presenter Nick Cannon returned as host and panelists Nicole Scherzinger, Robin Thicke, Jenny McCarthy and Ken Jeong were back behind the deal to try to determine which famous face was behind the mask.

Black Widow, Butterfly, Flamingo, Leopard, Skeleton, and Thingamajig have all taken the stage to perform for celebrity sleuths.

Thingamajig reduced Pussycat Dolls singer Nicole to tears with her powerful performance of Kacey Musgrves’ Rainbow.

An emotional Nicole, 42, told the mysterious celebrity: “You have such a beautiful voice.

Big Brother legend Davina McCall, talk show star Jonathan Ross, actor Ken Jeong and singer Rita Ora are panelists on the UK version of the wacky show.

Davina, 52, has confirmed that The Masked Singer UK will begin filming later this year with or without an audience as the coronavirus halted TV production across the world.

Speaking on her podcast, Making The Cut, an excited Davina explained, “He’s coming back! We’re going to start filming in September or October.

“The public situation will be easier with a one-meter ruler. But things are changing so quickly now with the easing that September is a life away.”

“It may well be that social distancing went out the window by then.”

The Masked Singer US airs Saturday on ITV at 5:30 p.m.
